To try keep things in line on here I have a little folder full of songs that deserve to be further explored. Tonight I found this little treasure in there despite (A) having no knowledge of ever putting it there and (B) having never heard it before. Alcohol is the clear culprit here. Race Horses are a Welsh contingent and ‘My Year Abroad’ is a stylish 80s pop track at heart; full of eye-liner, synths and enough strut and pomp to pull the whole thing off. “The sinful lights of Tokyo” have clearly been kind to them.
